USERS > How can you require all assignees to complete a task (everyone must complete)?

Do you have a team working on a task together? Or a workshop for the whole company? Almost every company has steps in processes that require everyone to complete. At Tallyfy, you can require multiple assignees to complete a task before it is checked off in the process.

Everyone Must Complete

Go to your desired step in the template. In the Advanced tab, toggle the All assignees must complete this step to Yes

Note that this feature only works for the task type "Task" - it does not work for the "Approve/Reject" task type. We are working on extending the functionality of it to all task types.

Please note that this also enforces the setting: This task can only be completed by the assigned users.

Everyone Completes in an Active Process

In an active process, you will see a lock next to the task assignees. This indicates that these assignees are the only users who can complete the task. You can still edit and re-assign users on this screen.

All users assigned to this task will see a count next to Complete. This indicates how many out of the total assignees have completed the task.

The count is updated and the system posts an automated comment when a user completes the task:

Guests can be assigned to the step. They will be able to see the assignment completion count as well:

Once all the assigned members have completed the task, the process will recognize the step as Completed and move on.

A member not assigned to this task will not be able to open or complete the step. Additionally, once a task is completed, it is locked. It can only be re-opened and edited by an assigned member.

**Please note that this feature is automatically disabled for 'Approve/Reject' type of tasks. Read more about Approve/reject type tasks  here.
